Pap stain is a universal stain used for gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology smear. It is mainly used for oral and cervical cancer screening in asymptomatic population and in the follow up of patients with cancer.
Application: Stain solution for cyto PAP smears. The classical Papanicolau test for cervical cancer screening was named on its inventor Dr. George Papanicolau. It includes examination of vaginal smears. The Papanicolau test is cytological one and examines the presence of abnormal cervical cells in the smear.
N.B!: The clinical interpretation of any staining, or i t s absence, should be complemented by morphological studies and proper controls, and should be evaluated within the context of the patient’ s clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist. All reagents have been optimally prepared for use and require no mixing or diluting.
