Hematoxylin and eosin stain or haematoxylin and eosin stain is one of the principal tissue stains used in histology.
Application: Cytology/histology stain. Haematoxylin-eosin staining is the standard in histology. It gives an overview of the structure of the tissue, enabling differentiation of the structures being examined as normal, inflamed or degeneratively changed, or pathological.
N.B!: The clinical interpretation of any staining, or it absences, should be complemented by morphological studies and proper controls, and should be evaluated within the context of the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist. All reagents have been optimally prepared for use and require no mixing or diluting.
